God’s Mercy

When I was about 15 years old I realized, through certain experiences, that my human life was already running out. At that time I started seeking for something real. This seeking brought me to receive Christ as my Savior.

During the first year of my Christian life I diligently studied the Bible. I prayed much for light and revelation. The Lord was merciful to me and showed me many things. As I continued to study God’s Word I was helped by a few Christian writers. After some time I received a booklet by Witness Lee. This booklet was entitled Man and the Two Trees. I was helped greatly to see how God wanted man to take Him in as the tree of life. From the book of Genesis, Witness Lee pointed out that God’s original intention was to give His life, represented by the tree of life, to man. My eyes were opened to see that to only study the Bible was not enough. We must see God’s ultimate purpose for man (Gen. 2:9).

At this time I began to meet with other Christians as the church in our city. We were all greatly helped by the writings of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee on many church practices and Bible truths. I would not take any help from any source that was not founded on the Bible. I found these brothers’ writings were always based on the Bible.

After 16 years of careful study of the Bible I still receive much help from the writings of these faithful servants of the Lord.
